Welcome to Stadsparkeren for the staff of University Utrecht!

From 2 February 2026, Utrecht University will manage staff parking via Stadsparkeren. With a UU‑Stadsparkeren account, all UU employees — whether in employment or not — can park at the Utrecht Science Park (USP) and at the P+R Utrecht Science Park at the discounted staff rate.

How Stadsparkeren will work at Utrecht University

  • From 5 January 2026, you can create a special UU‑Stadsparkeren account.
  • Only this account grants access, from 2 February 2026, to park on UU grounds at the discounted staff rate.
  • The USP parking areas are equipped with license plate recognition cameras. When your license plate is recognized, the barrier opens automatically — no need to offer your Campuscard. (Offering the Campuscard remains an option).
  • License plate recognition only works if you have entered the license plate in the Stadsparkeren app, license plate recognition is activated and the license plate is linked to your Campuscard.
  • During account setup, you link your Campuscard to your Stadsparkeren account. You must use your Campuscard for access if your license plate is not recognized. If you come with a different car, you can either use the Campuscard to enter/exit or temporarily change the license plate in your account.
  • Your UU-Stadsparkeren account can also be used for on street parking and in connected parking facilities.

Which parking rate applies for employees?

From 2 February 2026, paid parking will apply for UU employees on weekdays between 07:00 and 14:00 at USP.

Rates for employees:

USP parking areas: € 4,00 per 24 hours

P+R Utrecht Science Park: € 1,00 per 24 hours
